Deantwone Tobias Mcdowell

Deantwone “Twone” McDowell , 43, of Athens born July 2, 1978 to Jennifer Carey and the late Phillip McDowell. He was raised by his devoted, loving mother Mary Mitchell.

He loved drawing, to be honest the art work on back is from a church program he drew in 2000. He also enjoyed basketball, and most importantly family. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at Billups Grove Baptist Church, attending Sunday School, Junior Usher Board, and Vacation Bible School.

Survivors in addition to his mothers, include his grandmother, Elizabeth Patman; sisters, Ferdricka Carey (Jay Colbert), Kimberly Mitchell, Carmeva Echols; brother, Gregory Mitchell (Donna).

Deantwone was a loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend to all. He also leaves to cherish his memory: nieces/nephews, Danielle, Nikia, Brison, Brandon, Jayden, Jared, Breana, Breontra, Bryant, Corian, Kayla and great-nephew, Brayden; aunts, Patricia Daventport, Hattie Bolton (Claude), Jessie Harper (LM), Cornelia Collins, Frances Precious Derricotte (Leroy), Prescilla Carey, uncle, Robert Carey (Terry); god sister, Cerdrina Derricotte; and step children, Xavier Echols and Zaria Echols.
