Mrs. Dorothy B. Gordon, 93, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
She was born in Watkinsville Georgia on September 24, 1928. She worked for UGA for over 30 years and at the Athens Community Council on Aging.
Dorothy was the last of her family; she is survived by her only grandson, Christopher Burnette. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Billy E. Gordon; her two sisters, Addie and Lula Bell; and her only son Robert Watson Burnette.
Dorothy was a member for over 50 years at Cornerstone Church of Athens. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, July 11 at 4:00 p.m. at the prayer center.
Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
