Gary Wayne Powell

Gary Wayne "Zeke" Powell, 64, died Thursday, September 30, 2021. Born in Athens, GA, he was the son of the late Roger William Powell and Barbara Lois Echols Powell. He was a carpenter by trade and loved it immensely. Survivors include his children: Jonathan (Heather) Powell and Sandra (Joshua) Dellen; siblings: Freddy Powell, Jerry Powell, Terry Powell, Wayne Powell and Veronica Booth; grandchildren: Alyson Powell, Ryan Powell, Taylor Powell, Saige Dellen, Austin Samples, Andrew Dellen, Joseph Dellen and Zeke Dellen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 1PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the funeral home. Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, West, Watkinsville, GA is in charge of arrangements.
