Jessie Bryant

Jessie Wilson Bryant, 85, wife of the late Gene Lamar Bryant, died Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the Haywood House in Canton, NC. Born in Arnoldsville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Harrison McGhee Wilson and Hattie Mae Helton Wilson. Mrs. Bryant retired from Chicopee Mill/Johnson & Johnson as a weaver. Survivors include her daughters: Hope (Todd) Hardison of Watkinsville, GA, Sabrina (Tom) Shirley of Waynesville, NC; siblings: Willie Bell Barnes of Marietta, Bill Wilson of Smyrna, Jean Cape of Madison and Ruby Thrasher of Athens; grandchildren: Melissa Guest, Trey Cannon, Samuel Cannon, Carson Shirley and T.J. Hardison and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 3PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with interment following at Athens Memory Gardens.
