John Karr, 72, was born on December 23rd, 1949 to Emily and George Karr Sr. in Washington DC. He passed peacefully at Winder Health Care on May 4th, 2022 surrounded by his family and friends.
After high school John went into the Navy and later became a long-haul truck driver. He enjoyed traveling all across the United States. After many years he retired to spend time with his family. He enjoyed watching sports, old western movies, and spending time with his family. He would always be the first one to tell a joke. He always had a good time wherever he went.
John is survived by his daughter, Anne Green of Maryland; his extended family, Dana Mirza of Athens Georgia, Celia Spratlin of Nicholson Georgia, John Epps of Statham Georgia, Randall Epps of Oxford Georgia, three grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He is also survived by his Winder Health Care family. John is preceded in death by his parents, Emily and George Karr Sr., as well as his brother George Karr Jr.
John was a bright light to anyone who met him and will be dearly missed by all.
