Linda Ann Hansford

Linda Ann Hansford, 78, wife of 42 years to James “Sonny” Hansford, died on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Born in Athens, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey Bray and Myrtice Moon Bray. Linda was a school crossing guard for the Athens Clarke County Police Department and member of Whitehall Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters: Bobbie Payne and Debbie (David) Colley; grandchildren: Tabitha (Nick) Bucci, Tyler (Jasmine) Payne and Dalena Colley; great grandchildren: Farrah, Savannah and Avah Bucci and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 11AM at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
