Margie Salter Searcy, age 96 of Monroe, passed away November 12, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Monroe, Dr. Todd Ware will officiate. Interment will be at 2 PM at Oconee Memorial Park. Margie was a member of First Baptist Church of Monroe and was retired as Director of the Walton County Senior Citizens Council. She was preceded in death by her parents Isaac & Lonnie Bishop Salter; husband, Henry Gene Searcy; brother & sister-in-law, Rev. Rastus & Lena Salter; sister & brother-in-law, Iris & (Rev.) Joseph Jimmerson and she is survived by her daughter, Gena Searcy Coggins; son & daughter-in-law, Kenny & Susie Searcy, grandchildren, Margie & Jeff Miller, Sarah & Cledus Jones, Isaac Searcy, Eli Searcy, Naomi Searcy; great-grandchildren, Eliza Miller, Jack Miller, Abbie Jones, Abe Jones.
