Ronald Malcus James, 70, of Athens, GA, passed away September 22, 2021. He was the son of the late Garfield & Jacqueline James. Ronald grew up in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Athens when he was 44.
Funeral services are Monday, September 27, 2021, 12:00 pm at St. Philothea Greek Orthodox Church with Rev. Anthony Salzman officiating. The family will visit at the funeral home, Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
Mr. James was survived by his wife, Haregu Bahtu; children, Weenta James, Hellen Tewelde, Futhum Tewolde, Wenjie Sun, Agazit Woldegabir and Mikaya Cooler; grandchildren, Isiah Leshore, Heavena Leshore, Brenda Leshore, Peyton Graves, Mila Tewelde, Sofina Tewolde, Tamir Tewolde; sister, Sylvia James Finley (Ronald James Finley); brothers, Gerald A. James, Robert B. James, Garland Burge, Gary James; niece, Marisha James; nephews, Christopher James Jr., Johnathan James, Andre James; a host of cousins, Jeffrey and Jerome James, Ora Hill & family, Michael Thames & family, Kathy Grey & family, Venita James & family, Robert James Jr. & family, Anthony James & family, Russell James & family; aunt, Ann Thames; uncles, Andrew James & family, Robert James & family, and David James & family.
