Our Story
Athens Memory Gardens was established in the 1970s, with Oconee Memorial Park being established in the 1980s. We are currently expanding both perpetual care cemeteries to offer more options for traditional burial, entombment, and cremation. When the inevitable happens, we would count it an honor to serve your family.
Why Us?

We've learned a lot over many years. Like how to present options without overwhelming. And how to meet the needs of many caring parties. People come to us in difficult times, and we respond with kindness, calmness, and expertise.
Our goal is to create a beautiful occasion and make you feel welcome, always. We spend our days planning with families. We stay up to date with industry developments. And we make hard times a little easier.
Learn the Legacy
Athens Memory Gardens is a 36 acre cemetery located on the eastside of Athens. Recently, a cemetery office has been added to the location and we are proud to offer on-site assistance with cemetery and memorialization sales.
Within the cemetery, we offer several traditional burial sections specifically for flat bronze markers or upright granite monuments. A statuesque mausoleum overlooking a small courtyard offers spaces for entombment as well as cremation niches. A cremation scattering garden is beautifully nestled amongst a colorfully landscaped garden. We also boast a small columbarium that provides a resting place for cremation urns.
The cemetery’s beautiful grounds boast manicured lawns, young and mature trees throughout, and the natural beauty of woods bordering the edges. Private places of meditation are tucked throughout the cemetery, making it a place to be enjoyed by those visiting loved ones.
Athens Memory Gardens offers numerous options for graveside services, including public or private committal services. We are also proud to offer services to veterans and others who have served their community and country.
Oconee Memorial Park, established in the late 1980s, is a registered perpetual care cemetery located in bustling Oconee County. The cemetery is bordered on one side with an historic pecan grove, providing peace and tranquility to visitors.
